November 23, 2013: Dirt and Shovels

Note: This was the second prompt writing for the day, and we were pretty much surprised that the random prompt idea was again fit the 'Mystery' genre. Although some of us manage to work something that is non-mystery for the previous prompts idea (which were very suggestible themselves), the body count combined in our work were pretty high. With this last and final prompt idea, it only get higher ;)

PROMPT IDEA:
- Buried behind the Home Depot in Barstows

Where is it?!

Buried behind home depot in barstow
Or was it behind staples in costa mesa
I am pretty sure it was behind ross in los angeles
Or was it at the back of trader's joe in santa ana?

Maybe it's at Hawkin's in Watts
Or probably Long Beach's Roscoe
Perhaps at Westminster's pho
But maybe not at Irvine's Kickin' Crab

I thought about Getty's park with flowers all round
Or Tongva park in Santa Monica with cool lights and waterfalls
Or Balboa park in San Diego with big statues and such
Or Teawinkle park close to home, filled with ducks and squirrels

Man oh man oh man
So many places we go, so many places to search
I wish i hadn't been so stupid and pay more attention
So i wont forget where I buried my favorite bone!

***

Writer's note: Sorry, no body count this time. It was a story about a dog who happened to lost his favorite bone. This was based by my observations how some Americans take their dogs basically everywhere, so it won't be surprising if the dogs left their favorite toys (or bones!) along the way.
